TRUTH’s Weight

flowers and Bible

On the subject of Truth…

I’m overcome by the WEIGHT of God’s Word this morning…in it are all the answers. When we’re questioning our direction, we should head first for its pages. Therein lies  the TRUTH. The way. When we don’t know what to pray, we can claim its promises; declare it over our dear ones.

“Alive and active”, it’s power is indisputable…to speak into; transcend any situation, be it dramatic, catastrophic, or just plain enigmatic.

Hebrews 4:12: “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

Isaiah 55:11: “…so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”

Psalm 119:105, 111-112: “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path….Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart. My heart is set on keeping your decrees to the very end.”

…And I get to hold this Treasure in my very hands–its tissue pages my Guidebook, my Compass for life. My Way thru time’s tangle.

Humbled. And eternally thankful to the good God Who gave it…

peace with time{Making Peace With Time is a blog series chronicling my struggle to harness and live peaceably with time, finding the blessing in all of it. Time, it’s a gift from above…may its Creator use this journey to wash my eyes, that at the end, I might behold it as such, victorious over my ticking captor…}
